Get To The Point With Skin Rejuv and Correction

Fractional mesotherapy is an advanced skin perfecting treatment that delivers the highest calibre collagen induction therapy to improve skin texture, smooth wrinkles and fine lines while softening scars. This unique process combines microneedling with mesotherapy (the introduction of various vitamins and complex ingredients to the dermis via injection).

As well as skin tightening, natural collagen induction, lifting and rejuvenation, fractional meso also helps minimise acne scars, improves wrinkles and fine lines, reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, improves stretch marks and can promote hair regrowth in suitable candidates.

It is a non-ablative and can just as effective as treatments such as fractional laser therapy, IPL and chemical peels.

Skinstitut expert Zoe Devine explains more, and why you should consider adding it to your treatment menu if you haven’t already:

How does fractional mesotherapy work?

Skinstitut’s fractional meso protocol is a minimally invasive treatment delivered via the Wireless Tri-M microneedling device that uses medical grade stainless steel needles that vertically pierce the skin. This essentially works down to the dermis, leaving the outer layer of skin, the epidermis, intact.

The device uses a powerful motor allowing the needles to move quickly in and out of the skin. This creates micro channels, stimulating the body’s natural collagen production while also dramatically increasing the bioavailability of topical treatments and further enhancing their absorption.

It has been designed to deliver a fast, safe and comfortable treatment with minimal downtime and a speedy recovery.

The Wireless Tri-M possesses the worldwide patented silicon membrane, ensuring the safest treatment possible. The retractable needles have precise needle length adjustment down to 0.1mm and up to 2mm, meaning the treatment can be customised for different regions of the face and different skin types to deliver a tailored and results-orientated treatment.

It adheres to high quality and conformity standards as set out by European Conformity (CE), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Korean Food and Drug Association (KFDA).

Why has fractional mesotherapy become popular?

It is an exciting natural treatment that dramatically increases the quantity, bioavailability and access of topical treatments and further enhances their absorption for cellular nutrition.

While we are not directly injecting products into the skin, this minimally invasive process creates micro channels to the dermis for the enhanced delivery of actives where they will have a cell regulating function, thereby improving skin appearance, texture and tone.

We can see drastic improvements to the skin with minimal downtime and little to no side effects.

What is the difference between fractional mesotherapy treatments in-clinic and needling devices for home use?

Homecare devices are used on a more frequent basis and utilise shorter needles. The main benefit of a homecare device is to take your homecare regime to the next level, as they can increase product absorption by up to 200 percent. Coupled with in-clinic needling treatments can help to produce a better result.

The skin-inject DNC Derma Roller can be used 2-3 times a week at home. Treatments can be performed in as little as three minutes and the device will last up to six months before a replacement is required.

Is the treatment painful?

A numbing cream can be applied to increase comfort when receiving a treatment. Clients can resume normal activities almost immediately, but may experience some minor redness for a day or two.

Is one appointment enough for skin to see an improvement with needling?

Results may be seen even after one treatment. Clients report a firmer, more even-toned and revitalised skin with a visible decrease in the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage, acne, enlarged pores and scarring.

Depending on the appropriate course prescribed by your therapist, you may be prescribed anywhere between 3-8 treatments with 6-8 week intervals between each visit.

Is it a prescriptive treatment?

Yes, a thorough skin consultation must be provided prior to the treatment to ensure suitability and to devise an appropriate treatment plan.

What skin types are best suited to fractional mesotherapy?

It benefits most skin types (except broken, sensitised or active acne). Skin conditions the treatment highly useful for include:

  • Prematurely aged
  • Pigmented
  • Scar tissue
  • Fine lines
  • Open pores
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Stretch marks

How can clients maintain the results?

The use of our Needling Aftercare pack (containing Gentle Cleanser, Enzymatic Micro Peel, Rejuvenate 15, Multi-Active Mist and Age Defence SPF 50+) will assist with the healing and regeneration process.

You should also discuss with clients higher intensity homecare options which may assist with collagen production and better prepare the skin for the treatments.

We suggest a results-driven 5 step homecare regime customised for individual client needs. Homecare prescriptions will incorporate:

  • Cleansing with appropriate intensity to encourage cell renewal
  • Vitamin C (collagen stimulating)
  • Topical antioxidants
  • Topical copper peptides (collagen and SOD activation)
  • Skinstitut Age Defence SPF50+
