Last Saturday, November 26, aesthetics industry professionals and media personalities gathered in the grand ballroom at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney for annual TheMyFaceMyBody awards.
The much-anticipated event, founded and hosted by entrepreneur Stephen Handisides, is a celebration of many achievements; awarding innovative technology, effective product and individual practices, just to name a few.
Runners up and winners were announced in 23 categories. These were divided into media and product accolades (voted by consumers) and practice awards (who were mystery shopped and judged by a panel of experts, including SPA+CLINIC’s editor, Jenni Gilbert.)
Best overall practice in Australasia was taken out this year by Dr Anh Plastic Surgery, Medispa and Wellness Clinic in Perth.
Think Pink, an organisation providing free holistic support for breast cancer patients and their families partnered, while aesthetic medical device giant Syneron Candela was the gold sponsor.
Mingling with interesting guests like Christine Comans (a medical tattooist specialising photo-real nipples), we were entertained by a bevvy of performance artists while being watered and fed with three courses of finery.
