Last night, the Aesthetic and Beauty Industry Council (ABIC) announced it has acquired industry networking platform, Beaute Industrie.
The Aesthetic and Beauty Industry Council is a not-for-profit association created to represent and unite beauty and aesthetics as one powerfully strong voice to government, to advocate for benchmark standards, self-regulation, and to support the advancement of industry at every level.
Beaute Industrie began as a small private Facebook group founded by Tamara Reid and designed to provide a platform for business owners to connect and share their experiences. In a vastly competitive industry, a safe, supportive and encouraging space for business owners to connect and exchange questions or advice did not exist at the time. It was therefore warmly received by business owners seeking support, and the group continued to expand rapidly.
As of yesterday, ABIC has taken another step forward by bringing the Beaute Industrie community and platforms into its fold, expanding its team and reaching significant new industry audiences.
In exclusive commentary provided to us by ABIC CEO Stefanie Milla, she says “the fusion of Beaute Industrie into the ABIC fold will mean that the Beaute community will now have access to support provided by ABIC in addition to all of the wonderful offerings they are currently receiving within the Beaute community.
Essentially Beaute will become part of ABIC, it will become a one-of-a-kind offering for the betterment and representation of the industry. The communication channels will now be used for education purposes and to connect professionals, for their advancement and the betterment of the industry in every way.”
She continued to explain that Beaute Industrie’s monthly e-magazine will evolve into an education based quarterly journal, and that the Facebook Group will stay open to all beauty professionals – ABIC member or not.
“The Facebook group will remain open to any beauty or aesthetic professional, and its feeling and purpose will always remain the same, conversation and community, just now with the added enhanced offerings, accurate information and representation available within ABIC.”
ABIC has been making efforts to represent the aesthetic industry when presenting to government. Recently, they have been collaborating with the Council of Small Businesses of Australia to request a package from the government to support small business, which was announced over the weekend.
“ABIC’s mission and promise to the industry at our launch, just six short months ago, was to build the most supported community and establish the strongest representative voice for the entire aesthetic industry. Bringing the Beaute community into the ABIC fold is one of the many steps we are taking to fulfil this promise to the industry,” concludes Milla.
