No longer the realm of Melbourne and Sydney, expo arrived in Brisbane and was welcomed with open arms by the local beauty community excited to share and show off their many talents.

With their focus on helping clients looks younger, Rae Morris and Jazz Pampling’s Centre Stage makeup and brow tips and tricks were a firm favourite, both also presenting extended education programs that focused on technique and timeless trends.

Eager crowds also watched on as beauty industry charity Look Good Feel Better presented makeover magic in their work with women undergoing cancer treatment, and the very best in Queensland nail artistry was on show thanks to award-winning nail artist Caroline Morgan and a range of nail competitions under the watchful eye of Tracey Boyle.

‘Thanks to our exhibitors, media partners and sponsors for taking a ‘leap of faith’ and believing in our vision to make this an annual event that Brisbane so richly deserves,’ said managing director, Jason Greenhalgh at the event’s close.

‘Thank you also to our visitors for your support of this event. With your enthusiasm, encouragement and constructive feedback we will continue to stage an event that is not only relevant to the industry, but one that showcases the amazing talent and education this state has to offer.’

Supported by a stellar extended education program and nail competitions, it was this local flavour, armed with community spirit, which truly made the expo a success.

‘The Eminence team was impressed with the inaugural Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo this year,’ said Tamara Eacott, director of Green Living Cosmetics (exclusive distributor of Eminence Organic Skin Care).

‘Being the first show, we had some fluid goals and expectations but it was clear by the end of the two days the show had given us an opportunity to meet with our key market and showcase our brand in addition to catching up with our valued Brisbane spa partners. The mix of businesses and attendees representing the beauty, nails and hair sectors was comfortable and fair and we are already making plans for a return to exhibit at next year’s show.’

When taking a break from education, guests relaxed in the Schwarzkopf Professional Champagne Lounge, enjoyed a night on the town at the official after party at Loft West End and made themselves beautiful over at the Be(you)tiful Bar with funds raised going to support charity program Wigs & Wishes run by the local Friends Are By Your Side team.

Taking in all the Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo had to offer it was clear the Queensland beauty community revelled in their own show, their own time to shine. Onwards to 2016!
