Jessica Turner Ever rocked up to a party to find someone else frocked up in the same outfit as you? Then spare a moment of sympathy for Aussie fashion bloggers Margaret Zhang, and Sara Donaldson. At MBFW, held at Carriage Works last week, it happened…twice! Not even rouge, nor or a flash of red lippy could save them from Dopplegangerdom — both were bare-faced to boot!
On the first day of shows, the social media sweethearts paid homage to Toni Matičevski, sitting front row…both wearing one of his Kimono shirts.
Then, to rub salt (or silk) in the wound, on the second day, they sat on opposite sides of the catwalk donning khaki Dion Lee bomber jackets!
It’s hard to say who wore it better, because their unique sartorial style shone through.
The natural ‘you’ shining through is also what we love most about the bare-faced look…Try it two ways.
- Zhang’s look — Shiny, Pretty Thing!
Wet-look skin is ‘dew’ if you want Margaret’s unique ‘woke-up-like-this’ face:
- Prep School
