Beauty Expo Australia is Moving Online

Following last week’s cancelation of the standard event, Beauty Expo will be back in 2020 but not as we know it.

Beauty Expo is going virtual for 2020. This news follows Reed Exhibitions’ announcement last week to cancel the event which was to be held at the ICC Darling Harbour, Sydney in October. While organisers were hopeful they could safely deliver the annual expo, growing concerns around COVID-19 forced them to cancel the event until 2021.

The virtual event will now take place over 1-4 October 2020. Event Director of Beauty Expo Matt Smith said in an official statement:

“Salon owners and beauty brand owners alike have been hit tremendously hard by the effects of COVID-19. Despite our necessary decision not to move forward with the in-person event this year, safely supporting our incredible beauty industry is our highest priority. We aim for Beauty Expo Australia Online to bring our industry together over four packed days, providing amazing education targeting current affairs and how we come out stronger, and helping visitors source the product innovations and exclusive deals they need to take their businesses further. We hope Beauty Expo Australia Online will provide much-needed support to beauty professionals until we can reconnect in person at Beauty Expo 2021.”

This year’s event is free of charge and will give the beauty community access to the usual features offered at the expo but in virtual form. This includes information sessions, curated product edits and exhibitor deals and discounts from brands. It’s the good news the tight-knit community needs during this difficult time.

In more good news, our industry event BEAUTY & SPA Insiders will be returning in person for a second instalment following its success last year. Industry professionals are set to gather at The Ovolo Woolloomooloo on 26 October for a program packed with helpful business-building advice and expert education sessions.
