Dr Clara Hurst will be appearing on the panel ‘How to create your own product line’ at BEAUTY & SPA Insiders 2020.
After a tumultuous year so far and a new event date set for Monday October 26, the team at SPA+CLINIC are thrilled to be bringing you BEAUTY & SPA Insiders for a second year! We have joined forces with Professional Beauty magazine once again to present a unique summit for spa, salon and clinic practitioners and business owners alike.
We have a stellar programme of industry powerhouses lined up for you, and we thought we’d give you the chance to get to know them a little better before the big day. Dr Clara Hurst (among others) will be appearing on the panel ‘How to create your own product line’, discussing the highs and lows behind creating your own skincare brand.
Dr Clara Hurst graduated as a dentist from King’s College London Medical and Dental School in 2005. Her interest in cosmetic procedures and facial aesthetics led to further training and studies within the field of facial rejuvenation and cosmetic enhancement procedures, including training and working as a cosmetic injector at world renowned Harley Street in London. Dr Hurst has 14 years hands on experience in anti-wrinkle and facial sculpting treatments. Today, we chat with this fabulous, career-driven female to find out what makes her tick.
Tell us why you’re looking forward to speaking at BEAUTY & SPA Insiders
I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful speakers and guests and talk about my exciting new skincare range! It will be an honour and a privilege to share my knowledge and passion with everyone.
Tell us your daily routine in a nutshell
If I am in the clinic then usually it’s quite an early start, my business partner and I have our one on one work meetings over a 6am morning beach walk with our dogs then we start any business meetings straight after school drop off at 8am. I usually then start seeing patients from 9am although some days it’s from 7am! I’m lucky, I’m able to do school pick up at least 3 times a week and spend those afternoons with my kids – we are making the most of these gorgeous sunny Perth days and heading to the beach for a swim! I spend early evenings with the family then it’s back to work and sorting out the administration side of the business, there’s always something to be done when you’re a small business owner! If I’m not treating patients in the clinic then I try and fit in a beach walk or Pilates class in the morning followed by school drop off and then time with my little boy, Will. My day then usually consists of clinic visits, emails and time with my family.
What do you love most about the aesthetics industry?
I love how it’s become such a positive, supportive and inclusive community. I really don’t feel like there is much animosity, everyone is always more than happy to help each other succeed and I’ve experienced that first hand with so many incredible doctors, aestheticians and dermal therapists that I know I can call on at anytime. I’m so fortunate to have friends and colleagues in the industry all over the world – being part of such a global community is amazing and I’m grateful to social media for allowing us to connect whenever, wherever!
