Every industry professional knows how important continuous education is. As the cosmetic industry is always evolving, and new treatments, techniques, and regulations are ever present, staying on top of your game is crucial.
Niche Education Group have announced their latest venture, which aims to help time-poor aestheticians further their knowledge and skills: Aesthetics CPD (Continuing Professional Development). Born from the Australian pioneers in aesthetic medical education (Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science), Aesthetics CPD offers cosmetic medical professionals continuing support in their professional development.
It’s an online education portal designed for Cosmetic Doctors, Nurses and Dermal Therapists. The program aims to enhance knowledge and skills to ensure currency in the dynamic field of Aesthetics. An important reason AACDS developed Aesthetics CPD is to provide continued support to AACDS Graduates. AACDS Director April Jorgensen states, “holding a base qualification in aesthetics, cosmetic nursing or dermal therapies is important, but equally important is having the opportunity to continually keep abreast of advancements in cosmetic procedures and equipment.”
All of Aesthetics CPD’s courses are endorsed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Nursing, and are written and delivered by industry professionals, such as plastic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, pharmacists, cosmetic nurses etc – all with a wealth of experience.
In addition, with every membership registration, members will be given access to an exclusive journal club with an active forum – allowing them to gain further CPD points through self-guided study opportunities.
Cosmetic Physician Dr Charl du Plessis from Pier Street Cosmetics in Perth is happy to finally have a CPD program “enabling my clinical staff to easily maintain CPD points relevant to aesthetics in a cost effective and timely manner. This is a big win for all cosmetic clinics.”
In the future, Aesthetics CPD will also be holding practical workshops across Perth, Sydney and Melbourne on advanced cosmetic medical techniques that are currently offered in most leading cosmetic medical clinics.
The Program is headed by Ekta Tandon, RN who is the Program Manager and is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science, as well as a practicing Cosmetic Nurse.
