It is inviting salons to join an an exchange program. FABY will replace salons’ ‘toxic’ nail polishes, free of charge, with lacquers that are free of the Big 5 – DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and camphor.
Over-exposure to specific chemicals has been linked to toxicity in the nervous system resulting in cancer.
The European Union has already banned nail manufacturers from using DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate) and TPO and has strict limits on the amount of formaldehyde and toluene that can be used.
