Supercharged Sheet Mask

Image Skincare has released two new face masks inspired by Korean aesthetics trends, packed with top performing, professional-grade cosmeceutical ingredients.

“We travel the world when we’re developing new products,” says Jennifer Conroy, business development manager at Professional Beauty Solutions, Australian distributor of the brand.

“Right now, everyone is obsessed with K-Beauty (South Korean-made personal care) and it’s easy to see why – from 13 step everyday regimes to technological advances, they are seven years ahead of everywhere else in terms of skincare innovations.”

Indeed, concentrated “sheet” masks are a cornerstone of K-Beauty – their textures and formulas are ever evolving.

“The first wave were made of fabric but 40% of moisture was lost due to the flimsy texture, so they didn’t hydrate the skin nearly as effectively as many of the gel options on the market today,” explains Jennifer.

Both of the new-release Image Skincare biomolecular hydrogel sheet masks are considered “4th generation” as their unique texture holds more moisture that’s locked in upon application.

“They are make great retail stock as customers they’re built to boost the effects of in-clinic treatments (such as laser and microdermabrasion) at home, and clients can choose to purchase one individually or in a pack of five.

“They’re also a fantastic fuss-free add on to lots of body treatments – just pop one onto the client while they’re having another procedure and let it do its work.”

Formulated for anti-ageing and deep rejuvenation, the Biomolecular Anti-Ageing Radiance Mask is packed with essential amino acid complex to fend off fine lines and wrinkles.

It is infused with volcanic water sourced from Jeju Island which works to support dermal defence mechanism while instantly detoxifying, so this one is excellent for brightening dull skin.

On the other hand, the Biomolecular Hydrating Recovery Mask also contains volcanic water but is packed with antioxidants such as Ginseng that claim to calm inflamed or compromised post-procedure skin, or skin that is very dry.

Both masks are non-irritating, paraben free and suitable to be used on sensitive skin. For an immediate lifting effect, remove mask from packet, unfold it, and drape the gel side over the face.

Position it evenly, then smooth out bubbles. Leave it on for 25 minutes, and once removed, massage the  remaining essence into the skin.
