Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness brand, goop, is now offering facials at Hawaii’s Auberge Resort, Mauna Lani. It’s yet another step towards world domination (at least that’s what it feels like) for goop, which has become a sometimes controversial, but wildly successful wellness heavyweight.
The ‘goop Glow facial’ features the goop clean skincare line, aiming to detoxify, moisturise, and supercharge skin with nutrients using clinically tested goop skincare every step of the way. Costing $355 AUD, the 50-minute facial will leave you “feeling utterly relaxed with noticeable results: Healthy-looking, luminous, smooth, deeply nourished and glowing skin,” it says on the hotel’s website.
Goop already has a presence at Mauna Lani in the form of an exclusive retail boutique offering “carefully curated jewelry and clothing, as well as clean beauty options.”
It’s not the first time Gwyneth has entered the professional wellness market, partnering with Celebrity Cruises in early 2020, which saw goop health and wellness experts offer fitness and wellbeing classes on selected cruises in the US. With its own Netflix show and highly anticipated Christmas gift guide with products no one needs but everybody wants (think white ceramic bongs for “use with tobacco only” and Pink Oyster Mushroom starter kits), goop is a brand we love to hate, and can’t deny to be quite intrigued by the facial.
In Australia, select goop products are available via Mecca, but we have a feeling it’s only a matter of time before a goop spa is opening.
