The panel will include Karen Golden (General Manager, Tourism and Wellness, Belgravia Leisure), Matt Sykes (Founder, Regeneration Projects), Katrina Thorpe (Owner Ikatan Day Spa), and Nicki Brooks (Operations Manager, Endota Spa) and explore ways we can reconnect and use spa, bathing, and wellness experiences to nurture and heal.

Katherine Droga, Founder of the Wellness Tourism Summit and Chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Wellness Tourism Initiative said “While COVID 19 has been such a tough time for  so many, it has placed great importance on our own health and wellbeing, and provided a silver lining for wellness travel to now shine. Our latest consumer research we have just finished in 70 countries across the world including Australia, has revealed that 42% of people intend to increase their wellness holiday plans when restrictions are lifted.”

Not only will this online event delve into this latest GWI global consumer survey on what wellness travellers now expect in a COVID world, the sessions aim to provide invaluable tips and re-opening learnings from global big brands such as Banyon Tree Hotels and Resorts, Accor and Minor International. Leading wellness expert Dr Franz Linser from Linser Hospitality in Austria will be sharing how regions can gain more wellness travellers during this time.

The stellar speaker line-up also includes local industry leaders such as Tourism Australia, Luxury Lodges of Australia, Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat, Endota Spa, Daylesford, Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa and NSW National Parks.

If you are a tourism region, hotelier, nature-based attraction, wellness practitioner, retreat organizer, spa or beauty operator, this event has been created specifically for you.

The virtual event also includes some wellness for each attendee with an online mindfulness wellness session that delegates can join ahead of the day or during one of the breaks delivered by wellness and healing expert Shell from the Yoga Shell.
