New York has finally welcomed the long-anticipated launch of Hudson Yards residential real estate development. The luxury condominiums are not only an architectural marvel, but boast state of the art wellness facilities that go above and beyond the usual high-rise retail centres.
The wellness hub includes fitness, wellbeing and beauty retailers including an Equinox Fitness Club, a SoulCycle, stores like Jo Malone London, Kiehl’s and Origins, plus nailcare services and a recharge space called 3Den.
Pronounced Eden, the space is a pay-per-use destination with a mix of wellness amenities like sound-proof booths, nap pods, lounge, meditation room, private showers and refreshments. Designed as a space to recuperate between home and work, 3Den provides access to the nature-inspired space using a free app. Luxuriously finished, the spaces are desked out with plush furnishings, wooden and leather finishes, and brass trim in the showers and bathrooms.
The space is fully operated within the app, with access costing $6 per 30 minutes.
Guests are able to check how busy the space is before they arrive, and reserve amenities like the nap pods or showers. To enter, guests simply activate their session by scanning their personal barcode at the entrance. Once inside, the same barcode is used at scanners to enter amenities and to make purchases. Two guests can also be entered into the app for those who don’t want to attend alone, and credit cards are charged per guest. Barcodes are scanned again at the front desk once guests are ready to leave, and a digital receipts is generated.
Founder of the space and CEO, Ben Silver, wanted to create a truly unique urban respite for visitors, offering either productivity, peace, or a little of both.
“3Den brings to urban environments what lounges bring to airports: a relaxing contrast to the surround chaos and one that combines the offerings of coffee shops, hotel lobbies, premium gyms, and meditation spaces into one convenient place—but without the premium price attached,” said Silver.
And best of all? The coffee is free.
