Recipe: Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

The Beauty Chef (creator of inner beauty powders and tonics, as well as probiotic skincare and supplements) cooked up a media storm this week, celebrating a feast of good fortunes.

The bash took place in Sydney’s Potts Point, marking the 5th anniversary of its iconic Glow Beauty Powder and the release of The Beauty Chef herself, Carla Oates’ stunning new cookbook.

Mingling with the MUA Youtube sensations and influential bloggers such as Rebecca Neale at the event, it’s inarguable that The Beauty Chef’s menu of fermented wholefoods and beautifying botanicals is as trendy as it is tasty.

The spread of fresh treats cleansed the palette for a menu featuring a humble speech from Carla, who talked about good bacteria manifesting as glowing skin. A discussion with gut-health guru Dr Mike Bridges followed, about the benefits of fermented food.
