Located on the second floor of the Hilton Gold Coast, Eforea Spa Surfers Paradise has made a name for itself with clients and guests alike thanks to its interpretation of balance and wellness within the hotel chain’s global spa concept.
“The purpose of Eforea was to be able to provide a solution to all demographics of clients,” explains Spa Manager, Mell James.
“From frequent travelers to locals, diverse spa goers to new comers, we’ve developed three separate journeys which are not only very distinct but offer unique results.”
The Escape Journey, provided by LI’TYA, looks to an organic and non‑invasive spa experience with a set of holistic experiences that integrate nourishing organic plant ingredients with traditional healing practices.
The Essentials Journey, provided by Kerstin Florian, offers a scientific experience combining powerful, technologically advanced treatments for instant results.
The Men’s Journey, provided by VitaMan, is tailored to men’s needs and concerns with a masculine product line and approach to services in problem solving, re-energising experiences.
In interpreting Hilton’s international spa concept each Eforea is designed with a brand intention so guests instantly recognise the space, with standards and expectations replicated globally. Each Eforea offers a standard menu of the three journeys and in addition, on a local level, each property has its own input into factors such as design, furnishings, textures and menu options, depending on the environment.
“As we’re located at Surfers Paradise we’ve incorporated as many beach elements as possible to sit within the overall design space,” says James.
“The crisp, clean lines and cool, calm atmosphere creates a serene environment, enhanced by native touches such as natural fibres, silver wallpaper, blue tones, natural timbers, hurricane lamps and shells. We’re so close to the beach yet the result is a contemporary haven.”
With six staff across seven treatment rooms, including four single rooms, two couples rooms and a Vichy room, the design is extremely efficient with a relaxed retail area.
“We find our add-on and add-in treatments extremely popular,” explains James.
“Add-on treatments provide indulgence and additional therapy whilst add-in treatments give skin an extra boost, both with successful retail lines that sit behind them. The reason all our retail lines move so well is that the various Eforea journeys are achieving what they set out to. When you’re able to tailor each guest experience then the retail offering makes sense as a personalised way of supporting the journey.”
