Taneesa Williamson How Sydney doctor duo Dr. Ryan Holmes & Dr. Amrinder Oberoi are changing the game of aesthetic clinics.
An innovative approach to cosmetic medicine and dentistry has been newly founded by Dr Holmes and Dr Oberoi in an Australian first, combining both medical practices together in one clinic destination, focusing on improving patient’s appearances with a holistic approach to their care.
Skin & Teeth is the new kid on the Sydney block, and aims to change the game in aesthetic clinics through offering complete and timesaving care amongst a variety of premium treatments.
Dr Holmes and Dr Oberoi first met earlier in their medical careers, and joined forces in June 2022 to create their newly-launched business Skin & Teeth, which welcomes all genders and backgrounds for tailored skincare and dentistry treatments using evidence-based approaches to provide a signature and premium quality service.
Dr Oberoi’s contribution to the business is his long-term passion for creating beautiful smiles for his patients. Originating from both a cosmetic and general dentistry background, Dr Oberoi first created his established dental clinic, Paramount Dental, which has served many A-list celebrity patients with a total of 14 employed doctors and staff members since its launch in 2017. Dr Oberoi places importance on looking after existing teeth for long-term good oral health.
Dr Holmes has practiced as a Sydney-based GP for the past 6 years and believes that beauty is unique to each and every individual. His quality speciality is nutrition optimisation to provide exceptional holistic concepts for his patients to achieve glowing and radiant skin, whilst offering a bespoke creation of skinceutical creams for his patients to continue their healthy skin practices at home in-between clinic visits.

Ryan: “Holistic medicine to me is a premium medical service. It’s a well-considered practice of exploring a patients’ whole self in order to achieve optimum wellness. Being able to consider long-term medical history, mental health, emotional state, daily habits and practices and so on means you are able to give the best medical advice and ultimately, happier and healthier patients.”
What sparked the idea of combining cosmetic medicine with cosmetic dentistry?
Amrinder: “Cosmetic medicine in recent times has become something people talk more openly about. It’s quite common for a patient who is seeing their new set of veneers for the first time to follow up their excitement for their new smile with a comment about what else they could do to top things off. This often means lip filler or anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler to the face and so on. When you think about it, there’s a gap there that singnals the patient has not yet achieved their goals in terms of how they look and feel from within. Personally, having an aesthetic mind and being uniquely qualified to understand the structure of the face, it seemed quite natural to go in the direction of cosmetic injectables to fill this gap and complete that process for the patient.”
Amrinder continued: “I see it as an extension of what I already do, it completes the cosmetic service, it fulfills the patients’ needs in terms of their goals and it’s a great customer experience as it’s all done in one place by one expert team. In terms of the business, after meeting Dr Holmes and getting to see his approach to holistic medicine and his interest in cosmetic medicine it seemed only natural that we brought our expert fields together to provide a complete set of services and solutions for the skin and teeth. We get to offer our patients, dermal filler, anti-wrinkle injections, fat-dissolving injections, teeth whitening, prescribed skin formulas and a full set of dental and medical treatments.”
Where do you think the future of the aesthetics industry is heading?
Amrinder: “The future of aesthetics is only going to get bigger and bigger. I think there is a trend starting to emerge of patients who really want to achieve truly natural-looking results from cosmetic medicine. This definitely compliments the practice in cosmetic dentistry of guiding the patient towards a natural-looking smile and I think, at least in Australia, it speaks to our attitude toward life of being honest and frank people. As the population continues to age and more younger audiences become interested in ageing prevention, having cosmetic medicine alongside cosmetic dentistry in one place will only expand. It’s really only just beginning.”
