Registration is now open for the 64th CIDESCO World Congress and Exhibition which will take place in Dublin, Ireland from the 22nd to 26th September 2016.
Expected to attract delegates from around the World, this prestigious event provides the opportunity to discuss the industry’s most important issues, learn new skills and network.
Organised by CIDESCO Section Ireland, the theme for the congress is ‘Into the Deep’.
A five day programme of events has been planned including a CIDESCO Examiners’ Meeting, Schools’ Meeting, General Assembly (by invitation only) and two days’ Professional Beauty Exhibition and Lecture programme which is open to trade visitors. During the Congress guests will be able to enjoy the best of Irish hospitality through a programme of social events. These include a welcome reception, a fun-filled Irish evening at a traditional Irish Pub and a spectacular Gala Dinner at Dublin’s Doubletree by Hilton where CIDESCO members and guests will celebrate the organisation’s 70th anniversary.
Announcing the opening of the CIDESCO World Congress 2016 registration lines, Sheila Curran, President of Section Ireland says:
“Section Ireland is honoured to host the CIDESCO International Congress in September 2016. It’s a huge challenge as well as a privilege and the stage is now set for what promises to be an amazing event, with the perfect blend of work and play!
“2016 is a key year in Irish history as we celebrate 100 years of Independence. Dublin has never looked so good and the city is alive with the buzz of celebrations. We have been so lucky to be able to tap into this for our congress.
“A fantastic program has been organised and, in partnering with Professional Beauty for our congress exhibition, it is certain to be a huge success. Our goal is to deliver a dynamic and different CIDESCO World Congress. I am confident that we will achieve this”
CIDESCO International President, Anna-Cari Gund agrees:
“Dublin, with its warm hospitality and easy access, is the perfect location to be hosting our 64th World Congress and the 70th anniversary of CIDESCO. We are looking forward to seeing many of our members and welcoming new recruits while we work together in ensuring high standards throughout the industry.”
The CIDESCO World Congress has one clear goal: To create a non-biased platform for Beauty and Skin Therapy professionals to have open and informative discussions for the development of the entire industry. It also provides the opportunity to meet CIDESCO members from around the world.
“This is a first for Dublin, and they know how to put on a party! With the 70th anniversary, there is an expectation for a really dynamic conference where like-minded people get a chance to drain each others brains,” adds Dianne Miles, Chairperson of CIDESCO Section Australia.
“Education is of course of primary importance and we want to talk about amazing skin solutions. I’d really like to see an open forum, with input from everyone attending, on where we should be going in the next 70 years. Each country is so different, we are a global organisation, and we need to remember that: It’s like the UN of beauty therapy!”
