Jessica Turner Following a national trend, Adelaide is set to host its own Hair and Makeup Trade Show on September 26th and 27th.
From Brisbane to Sydney, Melbourne to Auckland, beauty trade shows have taken the nation by storm in 2015 with Adelaide the next beauty-full destination.
With many of the industry’s leading professionals and brands confirming their participation, tickets to the Adelaide Hair and Makeup Trade Show (AH&M) are now on sale — already setting itself up as a must attend event for industry professionals, salon owners, hair and makeup enthusiasts.
Taking place across the weekend of Saturday September 26th and Sunday September 27th at the centrally located Adelaide Convention Centre, the show has already won the support of brands including Crown Brush Australia, Inglot, National Salon Supplies, Girlee Cosmetics, Modelrock Lashes and home grown Musq Natural Cosmetics.
The expo will feature a host of demonstrations from the industry’s most respected international and local talent including Rae Morris, Richard Kavanagh, Becca Gilmartin, Merton Muaremi and Mia Connor, with education sessions providing participants the opportunity to learn from the industry’s best and engage in meet-and-greets.
And local talent will also be heralded with the introduction of two of the industry’s newest awards — 2015 AH&M Makeup Artist of the Year and 2015 AH&M Hair Stylist of the Year — plus a fashion meets art runway collection show which will wrap up the weekend’s festivities.
Showcasing some of South Australia’s elite talent, Sam James-Cockayne from Orbe (Norwood & North Adelaide) has handpicked some of the State’s top salons to put their skills on display. Sponsored by Orbe, Pride Models and KMS California, this runway show will be like no other combining Avant Garde styling, music, art, colour, street art and much more.
Aiming to provide hair and makeup professionals and beauty enthusiasts access to the best in education and products as well as a forum for networking, recognition and fun, the Adelaide beauty community are ready to show us how it’s done southern-style.
