Stephanie McLean continues as Print Editor while Nadine Dilong returns as Digital Editor, marking a new era of collaboration for SPA+CLINIC.

As SPA+CLINIC enters an exciting new chapter, we’re thrilled to welcome back Managing Editor Nadine Dilong, returning from maternity leave to resume her role as Digital Editor. Joining forces with Stephanie McLean, who continues as Print Editor, the duo will shape the future of SPA+CLINIC’s digital and print presence — bringing together two complementary voices that champion education, innovation, and integrity across Australia’s aesthetics and wellness industry.

We caught up with Nadine ahead of her return on November 4 to talk about life after maternity leave, the fast-changing digital landscape, and what’s next for SPA+CLINIC online in 2026.

Welcome back! How does it feel to return to SPA+CLINIC after maternity leave, and what are you most excited about stepping back into the role of Digital Editor?

Being back after a year of mat leave is one of the most confusing feelings I’ve ever felt – and I’m sure every mum will understand. I am so excited to work again (paid work that is!) and do something that doesn’t involve nappy cream and milk bottles, but at the same time, it feels strange to leave my daughter in the care of others, and I’m sure I’ll miss her! However, as with everything in life, you get used to it and I am confident it’s the right decision. I am excited to step back into the world of aesthetics and wellness and reconnect with an industry that is growing so rapidly, it’s sometimes hard to keep up! Taking our online presence to the next level is something I have wanted to focus on for a while, and now is the right time.

Over the past year, SPA+CLINIC has continued to evolve across both print and digital. What changes have you noticed in the digital landscape that you’re excited to bring into 2026?

I can’t believe how dominant video has become in digital media, whether it’s short form reels or longer in-depth interviews. Remember when Instagram was all perfectly styled flatlays and curated photo shoots? Now, people want to see more authentic content, which is great! I also realise that our attention span and time in general is decreasing, so I aim to deliver content that gives our readers the information they need in a concise manner, while still being comprehensive.

With you focusing on digital and Steph leading print, how do you envision the two platforms working together to strengthen SPA+CLINIC’s reach and voice?

SPA+CLINIC magazine will always be the backbone of our brand, and I am proud to have produced over 25 issues during the past 8 years. I believe that Stephanie can bring a breath of fresh air to the print publication and cover more in-depth long form content, beautifully produced editorial spreads, and analytical pieces, while I will be able to share what’s happening in the industry in real time online, as well as work on op-pieces, profiles, and educational content that is too time sensitive to go into a quarterly print magazine. Online and print therefore complement each other well and I’m excited to see both continuing to grow.

Looking ahead, what stories, trends, or conversations do you feel are most important for SPA+CLINIC to champion in the coming year?

I am keen to find the next generation of voices in our industry. You may call them KOLs, brand ambassadors, or just experts in their niche – I’m sure you’re all thinking of a few as you read this, and the truth is, that pool of people has been relatively small. Let’s push some more fantastic men and women in our industry into the spotlight and hear different opinions and ideas. Moreover, there seems to be quite the shift happening in the way we think about ageing, which could mean some big changes for the aesthetics and wellness industries, and I’m excited to explore this.

As the SPA+CLINIC team continues to evolve, Nadine Dilong will work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, leading the brand’s digital direction, while Stephanie McLean continues to head print from Wednesday to Friday. Joining them is Kym Cowper, Integrated Partnerships Director, who works Monday to Friday and connects brands with meaningful opportunities across SPA+CLINIC’s print, digital, and event platforms.

Together, the trio will ensure SPA+CLINIC continues to inform, inspire, and connect the professional aesthetics and wellness community across every touchpoint.
