More than 1,000 speakers and 15,000 delegates are expected.
We are so excited to announce that team SPA+CLINIC is in Singapore this week to attend the biggest gathering of dermatologists in the world: The 25th World Congress of Dermatology (WCD).
From July 3-8, we will join the L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty team, who are a Platinum sponsor of WCD, and who will present the latest research and innovations on topics relating to pigmentation, skin defense, photo protection, and skin ageing.
The WCD was first held in 1889 in Paris, and has since been held every four years, inviting dermatologists from all over the world to come together and learn from one another. The WCD aims to promote the science and practice of dermatology, by providing a platform for specialists from around the world to showcase new knowledge, exchange clinical experiences and scientific research, and to build professional and personal networks and collaborations.
The theme of the 25th WCD is ‘Dermatology Beyond Borders’, which encapsulates the hope for clinicians, researchers, industry and other partners to extend the boundaries of dermatology.
More than 300 Australian dermatologists will make their way to Singapore next week, among them four esteemed practitioners that have been chosen to be ‘WCD Ambassadors’ this year: Dr Prasad Kumarasinghe, Prof Dedee Murrell, Dr Michelle Rodrigues, and Prof Peter Soyer. L’Oreal is taking dermatologists Prof Greg Goodman, Dr Cara McDonald, and Dr Ryan de Cruz among others to represent and educate delegates about the work and research that is being done in and beyond Australia.
Furthermore, L’Oreal has invited several international doctors and dermatologists to present at WCD, among them Dr Giuseppe Valacchi from the USA, Dr Jean Krutmann from Germany, Dr. Therdpong Tempark from Thailand, and many more.
The L’Oreal Village will showcase over 700 square meters of the latest R&D and include workshops, demos, and activations every day from leading brands SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, and CeraVe. With 20 research centers across 11 countries around the world, a dedicated Research and Innovation team of 4,000 scientists and over 3,000 tech professionals, L’Oreal is focused on inventing the future of beauty.
We will bring you the latest news from WCD as it’s happening, so make sure you follow us on Instagram to see what we’re up to, listen to our interviews with dermatologists, and find out the latest research and findings from the experts in dermatology.
See you in Singapore!
