Here Is What We Learnt At ROAR 2023

ROAR 2023 brought together the best of both worlds, with both Venus and enVogue introducing a new, highly engaging concept to the aesthetics industry.

Brought to you by Venus and enVogue, the annual ROAR conference brought together the Australian aesthetics industry to learn about laser-based devices, injectables, skincare, and much more across two huge weekends in Sydney and Melbourne.

Delegates were educated and inspired by both national and international speakers, engaging educational sessions, live injecting sessions, device demonstrations and nothing less of exceptional entertainment.

Educational presentations sought the likes of renowned Cosmetic Physician and Medical Director of SILK Laser Clinics, Dr Nik Davies, who discussed effective treatments for hair loss based on his extensive experience with hair transplant grafting techniques. Q&A sessions were moderated by Cosmetic Physician and Medical Director Dr Sean Arendse, who moderated for Melbourne, and lead Plastic Surgeon Dr Stephen Liew, who led as panel moderator for Sydney.

Cosmetic Physician and GP Dr Nashwa Botros, spoke on a novel approach to treating active acne with nano-fractional RF technology. Following the theme of radio-frequency, Dr Liz Dawes-Higgs presented on radio-frequency and its uses in aesthetic medicine, including why it is still a top choice for practitioners in managing common aesthetic and medical conditions.

The recent announcements from AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) were also a topic of discussion, with guest speaker Dr John Holbrook, Medical Director and Co-Founder of Fresh Clinics, leading the discussion based on his expertise and understanding of the medical aesthetics industry, engaging and supporting attendees with an insightful discussion on the projected future of the industry.

Prizes were to be won, with a special SPA+CLINIC giveaway awarded on the day worth over $5000 to two lucky attendees.
