Australian-made skincare brand Retreatment Botanics has just launched in one of Australia’s most popular spas, AWAY Spa at W Brisbane. The certified palm oil-free range of cosmeceutical spa products is now available at AWAY Spa, with exclusive treatments specifically developed for this exciting partnership. We talk to AWAY Spa Manager, Yumi Kwan and Retreatment Botanics Founder, Trudi Jaye to learn more.
Yumi, why did you decide to bring Retreatment Botanics on board?
Retreatment Botanics skincare uses the beauty and power of Australian ingredients and the highest efficacy from the entire cell-matrix of Australian botanicals, which empowers AWAY Spa to lead the way in sustainability by offering clean, palm-oil free skincare, minimising harm and impact to the environment. Retreatment Botanics & AWAY Spa have developed a unique, exclusive experience that evokes the local beauty, botanicals and essence of Brisbane.
What ‘gap’ does it fill at AWAY Spa?
AWAY Spa offers Comfort Zone, which is from Italy, and we wished to have an Australian brand (especially with Australian native botanicals) to support the sustainability aspect.
What has working with Trudi and the RB team been like?
Trudi and her team are truly passionate, attentive and supportive. They always listen to what we need and accommodate our requests.
What is your favourite RB product and why?
That is difficult to choose as I enjoy most of the products, but my favourite RB product is the Kakadu Brightening Serum, which targets my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

What treatments did you develop for the spa?
After immersing myself into the W Hotel and the AWAY Spa 2.0 briefing, I was so inspired to create an exclusive treatment that celebrated their passion and honouring of the local environment. In the area surrounding the W Hotel, Native Caviar Lime grows in abundance and it’s an incredible collagen-boosting ingredient that I love. So, my team of therapists and I curated their signature BRIGHTEN
facial, and the body treatment, massage & facial package called GOLDEN GLOW, featuring the Vitamin C rich Caviar Lime as an active infusion with a 24k Gold Masque to further enhance the experience and benefits to the skin. This facial is the super-hydrator of all facials and revitalises even the most dull & tired skin while targeting pigmentation, for a visibly brighter and more plump complexion.
