We spoke to Aesthetica Uluwatu founder Emma Walker RN to learn more about the clinic and its plans for the future.
What inspired the establishment of Aestheticá Uluwatu in Bali?
I’ve been working toward this for seven years—ever since my partner lived in Bali and we navigated long distance before settling in Byron.
Each time I returned to Bali, I saw the opportunity was still there. No one had yet taken the leap into the Bali injectable market. With many friends running successful businesses in Bali, I understood both the risks and rewards of establishing something new.
I learned the ins and outs of business by experiencing firsthand what Lex had built in Byron—the ethos and vision she created. As we grew together, expanding felt like the natural next step. Lex and I are like yin and yang, bringing different strengths to our partnership while working toward the same goal.
Lex built something truly special with Aesthetica Byron Bay, which I’ve been part of since 2021. We took the principles that made the clinic a success in Australia and decided to bring that model overseas.
How does Aestheticá Uluwatu differentiate itself from other clinics in the area?

What skincare brands are featured at your clinic?
We solely and proudly offer Dermaviduals. This is the same skincare stocked at our Byron clinic.
Alexa hand-picked this range when establishing Aesthetica Byron—it’s natural yet science-backed, with a dedicated client base. No clinic or shop in Bali currently offers Dermaviduals. It was challenging to find a supplier, but I did, and we’re proud to be the first to bring this range to the island.
Can you share any unique design elements of the clinic that enhance the client experience?
The clinic reflects Byron’s modern, curved design while incorporating a fresh colour scheme. I chose green to create a calm, tranquil atmosphere—a striking contrast to Bali’s bustling streets, offering a serene escape within the clinic.
Some of my favourite design elements include the onyx marble waterfall reception desk, a striking focal point as clients enter. The treatment rooms offer stunning vantage points, with two featuring ocean views. Clients also love the cocoon-like beauty rooms, designed for privacy and serenity.
What is your long-term vision for Aestheticá Uluwatu in the coming years?
Our long-term vision is to provide a trusted, high-level service, uphold our values, and deliver the skin and injectable results our clients seek.
I’m also passionate about educating the community on best practices for skin and injectables, as there are many misconceptions about dermal and injectable health standards in Bali. Our goal is to bring integrity to the industry and build the same reputation we’re so proud of in Byron—one rooted in trust, dedication, and growth. While I have a few areas in mind for future expansion, right now, we’re focused on nurturing the incredible new clinic we’ve launched in Uluwatu.
