Victoria’s Latest Hot Springs Launch

A new world of wellness in Victoria’s south-west region of Warrnambool is anticipated to open in September 2019. Introducing Deep Blue Hotel & Hot Springs – inspired by the surrounding raw coastal beauty and harnessing the natural earth drawn geothermal water’s, the new hydrotherapy mecca offers a self-guided journey through a myriad of bathing experiences.

The facility is set to offer 16 open-air and cave bathing pools, including a reflection pool, sensory caves, aromatherapy pool, cold plunge pool, as well as ‘The Sanctuary’, where guests can replenish with a simple grazing menu. There is also a salt room on offer, which can be booked separately and can accommodate up to 10 people per session.

The geothermal water is drawn from an ancient water source located directly below the sanctuary and 850 meters below the earth’s surface. The water arrives to the surface at temperatures ranging from 35 -41 degrees, and is rich in restorative minerals, including:

  • Magnesium: converts blood sugar to energy and promotes healthy glowing skin
  • Potassium: assists in reducing high blood pressure and eliminating body toxins
  • Selenium: a powerful antioxidant, crucial to the health and function of the thyroid gland
  • Silica: one of the most important minerals for strong, beautiful, healthy skin, hair, nails and bones
  • Lithium: a mood stabiliser

Operating since 2007, the hotel boasts 80 guest rooms over 5 levels including 5 penthouse suites with expansive ocean views. The new hot springs will complement the hotel’s pre-existing restaurant, bath house & day spa, which offers indulgent spa therapies, facials and massage.

The development aims to have a positive impact on the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of the local community as well as an exciting therapeutic experience for visitors to the popular seaside city of Warrnambool and the wider great ocean road region.
