Celebrity makeup artist Alex Rosas created her look for the event using Kryolan professional makeup, and spoke to SPA+CLINIC about his technique:
“Whenever I do a makeover I use a mist first thing, and last. Monika was no exception – and I used the same product on her for both spritzes. It is moisturising but it also contains a fixing agent, so sets the makeup as well as preps.”
“I spray the mist all over the face and décolletage, then I’ll put on primer, while the skin is still wet. It dries together, but I don’t wait for long before – just enough time for it to absorb. You don’t want it super wet with too much ‘slip’, but it’s good to have a slightly dampish texture to put your makeup on.
“They’re also great if the customer wants to touch up with powder throughout the day as makeup might breakdown around the T-zone, in the heat. If the mist is applied straight after, it takes away that “just powdered” look and gives more of a satin finish.”
“Spas salons and clinics should ramp up their retail of skin mists in time for spring carnival racing. They are really popular now. I know from my experience from working from different retail brands, how many customers ask for them, are really intrigued and interested by them. They’re beautiful for summer weather and perfect for holidays. I just love them.”
